So the glee fandom is getting mad at Finn for actually starting to form his future.

Not that surprised. After all, Rachel should always come first in everything? Right? It’s actually funny, the first time he’s not a complete doormat and in the right and the majority of people hate it. Funny.

i don’t think people are mad at him for trying to form his future but they are mad at him for trying to take away Rachel’s I understand that isn’t not always about Rachel trust me she’s not my favorite character but she has always had dreams of going to New York and being on Broadway Finn changes his “dreams” like the colors of the fxcking wind one week he wants to go to college then he wants be a mechanic then a solider then he wants to move to LA to start a fxcking pool cleaning business when things get hard or don’t look so good for him he gives up and looks for something else Rachel has always had her mind set on one thing and yes she had a hard time figuring out how to get there but she didn’t change her dreams people make it seem like Finn didn’t know what he was getting into at the end of season 2 Rachel said when she graduates she’s going to NY why would that change because Finn is indecisive about his own life goals Rachel believes in Finn and wants the best for him she said he could get into NYADA if he tried but he doesn’t want to she can’t make him do something he doesn’t want but why should she forget her dreams because he didn’t plan for things after high school 

But there are those that are genuinely upset at Finn and are expressing it ridiculously so in the tags. 

I don’t agree because Finn DOES NOT have to go to New York with Rachel, that is what Rachel wants, scratch that needs in her own words. 

Hypothetically speking what if Finn had gotten a scholarship to play football in Ohio or another state, would Rachel ask him to give up his dreams, to play house while she chases hers in New York? The answer is probably because this is Rachel fucking Berry here, she would sabotage just about anyone to get achieve her dream of being a Broadway star.

As for Finn being indecisive, who isn’t at that age, he’s young, scared about to embark on the biggest journey of his life. I’m 25 and I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. And Finn has been working to be a mechanic in Burt’s shop but with the insistence of Rachel he gave up that notion again FOR HER.

And the pool cleaning business isn’t that horrible of an idea because someone has to do it and it’s California where rich folk will pay other people to do jobs they are capable of doing themselves just because. At least Finn has a friend that’s knowledage about what would need to be done, and how to start achieving that goal, Rachel and Kurt both wanna be Broadway stars but didn’t know that Julliard didn’t offer a program for musical theater. Needless to say she’s not that well informed about her own goals and how to achieve them so why is it so wrong for Finn to change his every so often. 

Besides her dream is going to take YEARS to achieve, four of which she can do just fine on her own, yes a long distance relationship would be hard on them but as everyone around them knows they need that time a part to grow up. 

But seriously I don’t care if Finn changes his mind in the next episode and wants to be an astronaut even though NASA has been shut down for mission, that’s his right and if you claim to love a person you don’t ask them to give up on their dreams so they can stand in the background while you achieve yours. 

 I get you but isn’t Finn doing the same thing to Rachel by asking her to move to Cali instead of NY I have no problem with Finn having his own dreams but he wants Rachel to stop what she has planned for herself because he wants to go to LA on a whim Yes starting a pool cleaning business in that area could be good but do they really know anything about it How do they know for sure that they can make a living off of cleaning pools There are plenty of other factors that come into play Why should Rachel just say fxck going to the school that can help lead her towards her dream because Finn wants to go to LA

Yes I do think it was stupid of her and Kurt to not know what school held their major (I think it’s really out of character with the way Rachel is tbh but its glee) but she still found a way to continue of the path that she wanted It’s nothing wrong with being confused at that age hell I’m going through that now but if he makes this decision it won’t just affect his future but Rachel’s as well

If he goes to LA with just Puck and shit doesn’t work out that’s on him He can find something else but that would set Rachel back and its already hard to get into the school she applied for I just don’t get why she would just throw that away for a relationship Like you said long distance relationships can be hard but that’s what they need to have I think if Finn hadn’t purposed Rachel would have been fine having one with Finn (although I have no doubts that she would have asked him to come I don’t think she would have forced him)

She did say she’d support Finn if he wanted to be a mechanic she just said he didn’t have to settle for it…I honestly don’t get why people would be mad at Finn for wanting to have something for himself that’s just fxcking stupid there is no reason for him or her to tag along with each other for no reason they would just be dead weight and end up resenting each other in the end But basically I think Finn is doing the same thing he’s accusing Rachel of doing to him Why does he get to play victim when he has always known what Rachel’s plans were

But Finn wasn’t trying to make Rachel necessarily give up on her dreams he was trying to compromise, he said she could still be a star out there. California has theaters too, they aren’t Broadway but they aren’t horrible. But Rachel has NO IDEA what Finn is supposed to do other than come to New York with her, and be her “husband” who supports her emotionally and financially from her own words.  Rachel doesn’t want a true relationship she wants a lap dog to be there to cuddle up with when she comes home from a hard day at classes or a bad audition.

And I find it crazy that people think that it’s insane for Rachel to throwaway her dreams and schooling to go to LA but it’s totally okay for him to give up years he’ll never get back of his life for her.

Let’s be real if Finn goes to New York with not goals, no ambition of his own he’ll wind up waiting tables to pay rent on an apartment he hates to be with a girl who is so self absorbed she wouldn’t be able to really see how miserable he really is. 

And as for it not working out for Puck and Finn in LA, whose to say it’s going to work out for Rachel in New York. There are plenty of other people who are even more ruthless than her waiting in the wings. There are kids who’ve gone to performing arts academy’s since they were 10 or younger that eat, sleep, breathe that just as much if NOT MORE, (since they knew about NYADA) than her. She could easily be stuck in the chorus line for years and years on end before even getting the chance at a lead role. 

And no I don’t think he’s doing the same thing as Rachel, I think he’s trying to find his way and though he may be lost he’s looking for the support of a future wife and he’s not getting it, while he’s been pretty damn supportive of her.

I mean she was not willing to even listen, to think beyond THESE ARE MY DREAMS, HOW DARE YOU TRY AND RUIN MY DREAMS, she could have easily have said we should sit down and talk about this, what do you want to do but she doesn’t have the sense to even think that let along say it. 

In the end it seems like we can come to one agreement, Finchel definitely needs some time apart for  (if not forever) because they don’t really seem to traveling down the same path. 

Yeah I get what your saying even though there are some things I don’t completely agree with (Rachel could have had a conversation with him about what he wanted to do because its important for Finn to be happen too but with him changing his mind so much it could still have ended up with them at odds even if they talked about job opportunities for him in the city) I agree that Finchel needs time apart because they need to grow  up they are living in this high school fantasy relationship that isn’t even all that great to begin with I think they should cut all ties and do them but its glee so that won’t happen..Even though I don’t think Rachel is the best singer out there and glee doesn’t prepare her for rejection like it should (still a little salty about them double casting Maria) she has been in a lot of musical activities since she was a child so she isn’t completely at a disadvantage to people in NY but anyways I guess I just think Finn and Rachel need to get their shit together because fighting over whose dreams are more important is fxcking stupid
